meshugganner This band is unreal.

I hopped on the Dreadnought train after catching them live this past summer '22. I was completely floored by their performance.

Their music demands repeated listens, at least for me. But it's so rewarding, and I'm just constantly amazed as I go through their catalog.

WE MUST PROTECT THIS BAND AT ALL COSTS :) Favorite track: Bridging Realms.

unidual Jazzy prog metalized. Trve prog: prog that has its unique spice. Beauty & beast vocals, but not in your usual gothic metal flavour. The yin is jazzy and/or ethereal. The yang is parsimonious and helps building the tension, a bit like Leprous uses it.

For fans of: Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, Disillusion (very few similarities with those bands, though), Coconut Avocado Ice Cream.

Sam THIS is what I call prog. A perfect album to just sit back and get lost in. Favorite track: Transpiration.

Ode To Ether 10:21
These bodies in fluid motion Revolving as clockwork about the one called “Sol” Shall know euphoria As the arbiter takes his glacial crown Harken, the two-tailed wanderer Comes to us from distant starscapes To spread awe and wonder throughout the cluster To dance with us about our sun To regale and enlighten everyone Drink will pour and laughter fill The celestial hall we call our home Lyrics by Kevin Hanlon and Lauren Vieira
2.
Odyssey 14:00
This field has stripped us of direction There is no motion, there is no awareness All that is left is the distortion Primal and supreme, it is an ocean I have lost the ground I had to stand on, and cannot find the air in my lungs; The beginning and end of myself dissolves and resolves into many and one. When up is down and forward, backward - where does the center exist? It's hard to tell if we've accelerated Or if we're blissfully adrift This is the trial; the self in turmoil A challenge to matter and light We are envoys between dimensions Within this emptiness, lies great tranquility Torn asunder, deconstructed, My personage in shambles No supposition could have prepared Us For this With no voice, the piece mutes the whole I release my conscious mind Into the void, the void revenant I Make Passage Wait it out, you’ll see What it is to be Lyrics by Kevin Handlon and Lauren Vieira
3.
The hour nears when once again We will feel the vertigo of gravity As your grand countenance eclipses my aura The frolicking shadows allude to the our imminent rapture Swinging wide, our bodies draw closer Desire wells up and surges from my trenches I’m drinking in the beauty of your perigee And grooving on the lilt of a trade wind Lyrics by Kevin Handlon and Lauren Vieira
4.
Now that we’ve found safe passage Through a hostile and tumultuous field We find the oasis that filled The deepest fantasies of yore The object of many hours Spent in silent contemplation A sphere so clear and tranquil It is a lens The event horizon, and the universe Beyond its gates Reveal to us the true nature Of possibility, it is a lens. Lyrics by Kevin Handlon and Lauren Vieira
5.
Spreading out In a sea of otherhood A kingdom exotic That calls us transient Though excited Our tension is palpable A friction is felt As we dance toward the deep “Bring inception, Bring us something new.” As a stranger, One can see this space adrift, asleep, and in waiting. So we descend And thus a universe Is born, We Wish this was Peaceful When they arrived, this was a cloud of dust Now swimming in matter and light The Omnicosm proves itself Ubiquitous and divine The vestiges of a dying star Masked the seed of a new universe Explosion Forms Mountains Seeds Dwarf Stars Breaks Silence Lyrics by Kevin Handlon and Lauren Vieira
