Matthew Rukgaber "Bridging Realms" picks up where "Lifewoven" left off. The piano driven metal that they produce calls to mind the 1970s Canterbury Prog Rock scene (like Camel, Hatfield and the North, etc.). Obviously, the metal aspects make this a much different sort of beast. Being able to weave metallic riffs and despairing shrieks in the same song as Gentle Giant-like funky prog....well, it is something else. Favorite track: Odyssey.

LazerShoes I saw them live opening up for another band in Denver. I wasn't sure at all what to expect. By the end of the first song, they had my full attention. At the end of the second song, everyone was completely under their spell. Powerful and beautiful music. Everyone in the crowd loved it when the drummer pulled out a saxophone and played a duet with the lead singer/guitarist playing her flute. Favorite track: Odyssey.
